Supernatural S04E05

Evidently I have nothing better to write about than television shows; specifically, Supernatural. With the exception of Dean deciding he will give Castiel an affectionate nickname, “Cas” (I still maintain it should be “Cass”), the most recent episode (S04E05) was significantly more entertaining that than the previous. While breaking the boundaries of the fourty-two minute action/adventure/drama by doing non-television things is likely – at this point – becoming a bit of a cliche (c.f., the silent episode and the musical episode, both in Buffy; the episode with the trickster last season), filming the entire episode as though it were an old creature feature was nice: black and white, grainy film, horrid dialogue. The speech by the shapeshifter towards the end – being fully aware of what it is to be a monster in a monster movie – was quite nice, as was his death.

Having said that, Sam’s complexion looked absolutely horrible. I thought he was the monster for most of the episode. He’s gone from orange fake tan to looking like he was left in a desert for a month. Dean, however, looks much better in black and white than in regular episodes. Agent Angus and Agent Young were nice identities this week. I don’t buy Dean’s virginity thesis, but it would seem by the end of the episode that it was a cow’s opinion anyway.

Hello. I still exist. And I’m still in the Excited States of Solids, Liquids, and Gases. Lots of the latter. I am still neglecting the bloggery, largely. This is just my existence proof.
