Books in Animal Studies

At risk of becoming a propagandist for Columbia UP, Wendy Lochner, the animal studies (and religion and philosophy) editor at CUP has made a post to the CUP press blog on her interest in animal studies. CUP is already the leading publisher in animal studies (see catalog here). I’m looking forward to reading Matthew Calarco’s Zoographies, Cavell, Diamond, McDowell, Hacking and Wolfe’s Philosophy and Animal Life, and Gary Francione’s Animals as Persons.

Meanwhile, University of Minnesota Press is having a sale on its Posthumanities series, which includes Donna Haraway’s When Species Meet and Robert Esposito’s Bios.
