Inside Man – I’ve never seen a Denzel Washington movie I liked (c.f., Training Day, The Bone Collector). Whereas The Bone Collector had Queen Latifah and Training Day had Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg, Inside Man had the creepiest looking man in Hollywood, Willem Dafoe. The conjunction of Willem Dafoe as hardened SWAT Captain John Darius and Denzel Washington as a detective in “the dog house” set the tone for what would follow: a really long, really bad, and really boring movie. If nothing else, Denzel Washington is consistent: he’s in movies that I don’t care for. I’m still not sure who the “inside man” was. It has been pointed out to me that I neglected to add “Clive Owen is hot.”
