My too long and too critical review of Beaulieu and Gabbard (ed) Michel Foucault and Power Today in The International Journal of Baudrillard Studies is now available. While I’m not sure how widely read the journal is, I recommend it – especially for review essays that wouldn’t be accepted elsewhere on account of length, depth and detail – to graduate students looking for a place to get their name in print. Gerry Coulter, the editor, allows as much space as you want to review the book(s). The model has been somewhat successful – see the now unfortunately defunct (anyone want to revive it?) Foucault Studies and the soon to be officially unveiled, International Journal of Zizek Studies.
In other news, I’ve started four new notebookes: (1) Spirit of the Laws – notes; (2) Montesquieu – Other Texts – notes; (3) Montesquieu – Secondary Literature – notes; (4) Dissertation – References, Notes, Etc. I’ll likely have to make a final notebook: (5) Eighteenth Century France – notes. We’ll see how long this entirely new system of organization lasts. This new notebook system has confirmed that I am absolutely unable to write by hand. Well, I can, but you can’t read it.

hi Craig,
I hope you’ll put stuff from these notebooks up here, they all sound great. I’m particularly interested in the possible fifth.
take care,
Nate
Foucault studies was rescued a while ago – they’re bringing in new editors, although I don’t know any specifics.
