With the disappearance of the two junior associates, I’m happy to announce that Denise Bauer failed to make partner this year — after working at Crane, Poole & Schmidt for nine years. Returning for a tenth year, as an associate with no hope of making partner, is just sad. Consequently, I can only speculate that the show will improve immensely with her gone. With Marlene Stranger as all but a shoe-in for, as Denise puts it, “my spot”, the show can only soar to ever greater heights of hilarity.
Now, if only ABC would realize the errors of its ways and un-cancel “Sons and Daughters”, which was most definetely tied with “The Office” and “Arrested Development” as the intentionally funniest TV shows made in about the past twenty years.
