I can’t express how happy that I am that he died tonight, although I would have preferred it had he, as they say, “died on the table” rather than of a stroke — seems like a cop-out to me. As far as I’m concerned, there can only be one character on prime time TV with the first name Denny. And it must be played by William Shatner.
The search “Denny Duquette” ranks this post first on MSN and third on Yahoo. Awesome. Proving once again that Google is a superior search engine, this post only ranks sixteenth there.

I have no idea what a “Denny Duquette” is, but isn’t Shatner’s character Danny Krane? I watched that show last night actually. Shatner’s a genius, but nothing else in it is that great, except James Spader to an extent. Krane bought a clamshell cell phone and when he opened it it made the communicator noise from Star Trek – classic.
OK, a quick Wikipedia check reveals you were right about Shatner’s character’s name. Meh.
The only character on that show that I really don’t like is the one played by Julie Bowen. At least now that the boyish and the short black lady junior associates are no longer on the show. (I’m also not especially fond of Paul and the other named partner.) If Australia isn’t current with North American episodes, Brad will shortly become tolerable. I find him hilarious. Freddy Prinze Jr. as Shatner’s son is also pretty good. Shatner’s character makes rich Republicans lovable — in the same way that the SNL George W. Bush makes you want to pinch his cheeks.
Yes, there’s a thesis in there. He makes shooting black men in the leg because they are poor seem cool.
He shot the homeless man in the head with a paintball gun. The man was, however, black. He shot an accused — and guilty — child molester in the leg with a real bullet.
yes, but the only reason he shot him as I understand it is that he resented having to defend someone who couldn’t pay him appropriately!
