Thanks Mark. The move from commercial blog platform (Typepad) to anarchist open source blog platform (Wordpress) was easier than I thought it would be, but not entirely painless. Overall -- despite not having figured out to how to import my comments -- the process has been worth it. Wordpress is much more powerful and, once you get the hang of it, easier to use than the other blogging systems. I, of course, did not design the site -- there's hundreds of people out there who have nothing better to do than make "themes" and make them available to everyone. Editing those is comparatively easy (again: once you get the hang of it).
